Russia and India have agreed to boost cooperation on information security during the second round of bilateral consultations on the issue held in Moscow, the press service of the Russian Security Council said.

The Russian delegation was headed by deputy secretary of the Security Council Oleg Hramov, while the Indian one by National Cyber Security Coordinator Gulshan Rai.

"The parties discussed the main areas of information security cooperation for 2019-2020 as well as the issues linked to coordination of actions at various international platforms, primarily, the United Nations. [The parties] reached agreements on boosting the Russian-Indian information security cooperation," the Security Council said.

Russia and India are actively developing economic, political, military and humanitarian cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
