President Vladimir Putin will visit China on 2-3 September at the invitation of President Xi Jinping to attend the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and China's victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan.
The leaders of Russia and China also plan to discuss the further development of bilateral relations, including in light of the agreements reached at the BRICS and SCO summits in Ufa.
President Putin and President Xi will also share opinions on international and regional issues and ways to strengthen interaction in the UN, the G20, APEC and other international organisations and to coordinate the development of the Eurasian Economic Union with that of the Silk Road Economic Belt project.
A number of bilateral documents are expected to be signed during the upcoming visit.
