Russia and China discussed how to intensify cooperation to guarantee the security of activities in space, according to the report published by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the results of bilateral consultations.

The Ministry said there was an exchange of views relating to the peaceful use and exploration of the cosmos, including international legal regulation and ensuring the long-term sustainability and safety of space activities.

The parties also paid special attention to the United Nations Commission on Outer Space.

The analysis led to an agreement on strengthening coordination in this area both in the bilateral format and in specialized multilateral platforms, the statement added.
