Youth in BRICS Countries Photo Exhibition Opens in New Delhi

Gala opening of the Photography exhibition Youth in BRICS Countries took place in New Delhi. This event is devoted to the history of youth international conferences of this association. It is conducted with support of BRICS countries' embassies and the Commnwealth of Indian Artists and Photographers, Rossotrudnichestvo reports.

The exhibition organisers have chosen more than hundred works out of 1200 pictures sent from Brasil, Russia, India, China, and South African Republic. These artworks reflect a role of the youth in the association growth, the new policy development and in expanding young people's influence on global processes.

Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India Sergey Karmalito was present at the opening. He has stressed an importance and significance of this event that is held ahead of the BRICS summit in China. Ms. Kiran Soni Gupta, the Deputy Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, has marked the principal role of humanitarian contacts between young representatives of BRICS. She has also reminded that India is gearing up for the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students that is going to be held this fall in Sochi, Russia.

Meanwhile, the exhibition has quickly gained popularity online. People are posting their pics from BRICS events under the hashtag #YOUTHinBRICS.
